Welcome to the Fun and Wonderful World of Boating.

The old sayings of “The best 2 days of a boat owners’ life is when he buys his boat and when he sells his boat” and “A boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into” are just so wrong!  The saying should be “The best day of a boat owners’ life is when he/she is onboard and it is beautiful out!”.  You are here because you either use your boat, just bought a boat, want to use your boat properly or want to know ‘How the Hell do I….’   I am here to help you enjoy your Toy!   Lets have some fun!  You will find articles on different aspects of boating (maintenance, captaining, equipment) and you will find corresponding Videos.  My plan is to make this fun, not detailed and boring.  Everything you read or watch are my opinions based my years of experience as a boat/yacht captain and president of a yacht management company dealing with different boats and different experiences everyday.  I’ll be carrying around my video camera wherever I go looking for situations and lessons that I think you will be interested in,  or at least interest me.  You may or may not agree with some aspects of it and that’s cool because there are many ways to do many things… this just happens to be my way and like the sign says “Rule 1: What the Captain says, Goes.  Rule 2:  If you disagree with the Captain, read Rule 1″.  You can post a response if you like and ask questions.  I’ll decide if I want to post them or not.  There will be no negative comments allowed but Kudos are always welcome.  So, join me as we have fun enjoying the greatest recreation in the world….
